Our client, a market leading banking institute, seeks a Compliance Manager to join their expanding team. Reporting into the GM, you will manage the compliance function within the Islamic banking division and be expected to review the rules and regulations related to the bank and their impact on the business. You will work closely with other members of the team to ensure that all Shariah board directives are followed from a compliance perspective and that the Fatwas of the Shariah Scholars are being implemented.

Strong managerial skills are a must and you will be currently working / or have worked in a similar role within an Islamic financial services organisation. Five years solid compliance experience is required as is awareness and knowledge of internal auditing principles and Islamic finance products.

In order to be considered for this role, you must be fluent in both Arabic and English and have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in these languages. You must have a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements of the Central Bank of the UAE in relation to Islamic finance and be aware of the Islamic finance standards as set by AAOIFI.
