Charterhouse is working with one of the market leaders who is looking to hire a Business Analyst - Management Information to join its team whose mission is to move IT closer to the operating companies of the group to build a trustworthy relationship between IT and the different business units, and transform IT into a tool for developing and executing. The Business Analyst role will ensure that all relevant decision makers within the group have the right processes and consistent, accurate and transparent information that enable fact-based decision making, by bringing data together from various companies and making it easily accessible for daily operations and decision-makers through acquisition, organisation, analysis and consumption of information.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to act as SME of business processes specific to different business areas, develop and follow up on metrics and reports, support MI team in relations to information modelling and database analysis as well as governance and data quality projects, perform data mapping related tasks. You will drive process automatization and efficiency enhancement (operational process mapping, process improvement), understand the relation between business needs and the capabilities of the IT department to deliver, help the TBM team transform IT into a tool to develop and execute the business, focus on coaching the business to decide and prioritise (together with TBM) which efforts to pursue depending on the resources available. You will also start, run and manage IT councils assessments, skilful problem solving together with the business units, comply with the health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) policy and HSSE manual procedures respecting industrial and personal safety and environmental precautions. As the Business Analyst you should always consider the safety of yourself and others within, ensure compliance with the organisations compliance policy and code of ethics.
The successful candidate should hold an undergraduate or postgraduate Degree in computer science, engineering, business management or any related field. You should have at least 3 years’ related working experience in data warehousing methodology, process mapping methodology, knowledgeable in a project management methodology (PMP, Prince2, etc.). You should have an overall understanding of IT (architecture, development, and infrastructure), MS Visio or similar business process mapping application as well as effective and efficient communication across all levels within or outside the organisation.
