Charterhouse is working with a leading distributor of building materials who is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their team. As the Business Development Manager you will report to the MD.
About the Role
You will be a passionate and proactive ambassador of the brand, promoting the organisation and its services to corporate clients. You will have a strong network of clients within the building materials sector and will proactively develop ways to generate new business relationships. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to network and develop an effective B2B sales strategy whilst maintaining existing corporate relationships.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior sales role within the building materials industry. The ideal candidate should be someone who is confident with excellent organisation and communication skills. You should have a proven track record in sales and maintain their corporate client relationships. You should also be a problem solver who is able to identify client’s needs and provide suitable solutions to meet their requirements. Preference will be given to Western, native English speakers due to the nature of the business.
