Our client a leading international furniture design and manufacturing organisation is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team.
About the Role
To be considered for the role you should be able to generate and deliver new sales and develop key trade relationships with high-end residential interior designers, architects and contractors in the luxury interiors marketplace as well as potential players in the hospitality market. You will proactively manage existing clients delivering new sales and business development, whilst also achieving personal sales targets and producing reports on business conversion. In addition, you will identify and conduct weekly sales call opportunities, assisting clients on furniture specification and project details. You will present proposals, written orders, communicating lead times and all relative information to clients.
The successful candidate should have a tenacious, confident professional approach with proven experience of working to sales targets, including experience within a B2B Business Development/New Business/Sales role. You should have the commercial and technical ability to deliver projects, as well as strong awareness of contract furniture market and current trends is desirable. You should be well organised and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously without compromising accuracy. To be considered for the role you should be confident in face to face client presentations, able to secure and retain new business. It is essential that you are personable with excellent client relation, negotiation and closing skills. Our client has preference for candidates with workspace furniture, kitchens, interiors or similar field of sales experience.
