​Charterhouse is working with an Oil & Gas company based in Dubai, who is looking to hire a Business Planning/Project Control Specialist. As the Business Planning Specialist, you will be responsible to facilitate the progression of projects through the sanctioning process while ensuring corporate standards are met.

About the role
The purpose of the role is to coordinate project progression through the company’s processing system and ensure that all project details are captured, updated and recorded on the system. You will be required to liaise with Engineering, Development & Operations departments to ensure projects compliance with corporate standards and finance processes, while communicating effectively with stakeholders to make sure the procedures are in line with the business needs.

As the business planning specialist, you would be responsible for the system management and act as a focal point, while also working with the IT department to resolve system issues and manage updates.

You will also be tasked with collecting business process documentation and supporting with business process mapping, improvements and re-engineering within the company. There will also be elements of meetings facilitation, coaching and reporting involved in the day-to-day tasks.

About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Business Planning, IT, or Project Control. Upstream Oil industry knowledge would also be an advantage.

You should have experience in setting up business process mapping and business process re-engineering. Experience in compiling and writing business procedures and manuals is essential and you should have a proficiency in MS Office.
