Chief Information Officer (CIO)

​Charterhouse is working with an international market leader in Supply Chain and Logistics solutions, who is looking to hire a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join their team in Qatar. This is a senior role, providing strategic vision and leadership to IT, Innovation and the Business Process Improvement Department, and reporting directly to the Group CEO.

About the role
As the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for strengthening the group’s operations by including both short-term goals and long-term vision. In this role, you will define and implement the digital transformation roadmap and oversee the management, maintenance and optimization of the IT Infrastructure.

This role requires someone to lead and manage a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for managing the IT budget and delivering cost effective solutions, as well as developing and maintaining IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

About you
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field and a Master’s is desirable. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior IT role, within a multinational organisation with sound knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, software applications and emerging technologies is required.

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels within the company are necessary, as well as extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy and regulatory compliance. You must be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into effective IT strategies and solutions, with a proven record managing large scale IT projects, budgets and vendor relationships.
