Charterhouse is working with an esteemed client, a leading entity in the Energy sector, who is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Data and Information Management Team Lead. This organization operates at the forefront of the industry and is keen to enhance its data management capabilities.
About the role
As the Data and Information Management Team Lead, this role will be tasked with providing strategic direction for Information Management (IM) within the company. Additionally, the primary objective will be to establish an effective information governance framework, connecting processes, people, and data to the company's strategic objectives while mitigating information risks.
This role will lead a dedicated team responsible for executing information management projects, including tool implementation, process development, training, and audits to oversee the entire lifecycle of the company's data.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should possess a Degree in Information Management, Data Management, Information Security, or a related field. Candidates with certifications in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) will be given preference. You should have a substantial 5 to 10+ years of experience in IT or Data Management roles, with a proven track record of facilitating and consulting with diverse stakeholders.
Deep understanding of data administration and management functions, data management expertise, and the ability to analyze complex data flows and trends to design efficient data management strategies is preferred. Familiarity with Data Dictionaries and Metadata management, experience in executing Data Quality programs, and previous knowledge of technical engineering, manufacturing, or operational processes would be valuable assets.
Effective leadership and people management skills are essential, as well as strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in English, both written and verbal. The role also demands solid vendor management experience and a comprehensive understanding of data management systems, database and programming concepts, and file structures.
