Charterhouse is working with an ambitious, friendly and award winning digital design studio headquartered in London who is looking to expand their centre of excellence in Dubai by hiring a Digital Project Manager to report into the Executive Creative Director. Someone who takes ownership and pride in their work, the purpose of your role will be to deliver a variety of bespoke medium to large scale CMS driven web applications and other digital assets.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to manage technical IT/Digital projects in terms of scope, pre-requisites, risks, quality assurance, execution and acceptance. You will lead the comprehensive analysis (incl. user interviews, system requirements etc.), planning, development and implementation of applications of high complexity (both for web and mobile). You will be responsible for understanding customer, business and stakeholder needs, define priorities and propose technical solutions (scope, dependencies, risks, budget, schedule etc.). You will interact with the clients technical and business teams and be the first point of contact for the entire application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support. This position would suit someone who is currently managing in-house teams and 3rd party teams including coders, designers and consultants. The selected candidate will also assist in building responses for RFPs for UX design, development projects and briefs for 3rd party vendors. Importantly, you will take full ownership of projects and plan, manage and deliver a number of concurrent critical projects involving the .net/open source stack, on time, on budget and to scope.
The successful candidate should have an understanding of various project management methodologies (AGILE, Waterfall etc.) CMS implementation and additionally, technical project management user centred design and UX principles. You should have experience of working with platforms such as Umbraco, Magento and Laravel. Requirement gathering and BA skills would be advantageous along with previous working experience as a client facing Project Manager for web applications for at least 2 years. In addition, you should have a BS/MS Degree in computer science engineering. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a prerequisite for this position.
