Charterhouse are working with one of our leading financial services client’s, who are looking to hire a Director of Banking Operations, spanning both middle and back office related coverage and functional responsibility.
About the role
This is a newly created role, on the back of sustained growth across the organisation, and the need to develop more support for the front office teams and marketing activities across the MENA market. This role is being designed to add further support to the Regional Operation Head and will oversee all areas of middle and back office activity. You will also develop a policy review and process implementation, to ensure stronger governance and representation of Operations across the organisation; with a view to enhancing business development and the ability to proposition stronger client services. This Director shall also have an insight to various compliance-related activities; to ensure that an alignment exists across these support and client on-boarding functions. On top of this, the role shall have an overview of product-related operations to ensure an adequate settlement framework, the timely execution of payments and vendor controls.
The successful candidate should have a senior manager profile, with a track record of 5 years within a leadership post. You should be experienced within the corporate banking space with a particular knowledge of Trade Finance activities, products and internal services. You should be able to develop staff learning whilst also managing projects spanning administration, IT and general affairs. Subsequently, this Director requires an in depth and all-round knowledge, within the sphere of banking operations, coupled with a gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and project manage across various geographical locations and jurisdictions.
The nature of our client and their current business cycle, means that an importance exists, to identity a leader/mentor profile with a strong knowledge of the local/regional banking sector from a support and front-line prospective.
