Charterhouse is working with an established known five star hotel in East Africa who is looking to hire a Director Food and Beverage for the property, a renowned international brand.
About the role
As Director of F&B you will report to the General Manager and work very closely with the rest of the executive committee to achieve the targets and vision for the property in this unique location. This role will focus on overseeing the full operations function of the department, managing a team in excess of 70. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy to increase sales. You will also handle the revenue generation and cost control across all outlets. This role requires a strong leader who is very hands on and is happy to step in and work on the floor to support the team.
The successful candidate should have experience in a remote location, within Africa would be an added advantage. Experience with a leading international chain is preferred. You should currently work as a Director or Assistant Director of F&B or be an F&B Manager with a proven track record ready to take the next step. The ideal candidate will also have opening experience. Due to the scope of the role only French Speaking candidates will be considered and preference will be given to candidates on single status.
