Charterhouse is working with an established and highly regarded 5 star luxury hotel in Doha, who is looking to hire a Director of Conference & Events to oversee the full conference and events team.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to lead and drive the team, provide the structured strategic leadership needed to develop the conference and events portfolio and reach the revenue targets. You will make sure you are constantly up to date on all that is happening within the conference and events space both in Qatar and across the region, making sure your team is as well. You will take full responsibility for the full conference and events portfolio, making sure all events are executed seamlessly and maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction at all times.
The successful candidate should currently be a Senior Manager or Director of Conference and Events, ideally within a 5 star property or an extensive conference facility. You should have a proven track record managing a team of 5 or more and have extensive market knowledge. Preference will be given to candidates from an established, reputable, luxury 5 star brand. Middle East experience is essential and Qatar experience is preferred. Due to the scope of the role preference will be given to Arabic speaking candidates.
