Job description
Charterhouse is working with a global client within the hospitality sector. Our client is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to join their expanding Dubai office and to contribute to a number of new and exciting projects.
About the role
As the Engineering Manager, you will manage and oversee a cross-function team of 6 developers and will be required to mentor and train junior members. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the existing codebase along with scaling different processes within the organisation, such as engineering hiring and onboarding.
On a daily basis, you will work closely with both co-founders helping them plan the tech roadmap for the next 5 years!
About you
To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer with exposure to Frontend and Backend Technologies (Java, JavaScript, Spring, Angular, Node.Js). Our client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, who has previously worked in an AGILE & TDD environment. It would be beneficial if you have previously had Line Manager responsibilities (1-1 reviews, pair programming, etc.) You will be required to work in a cross-functional team, therefore strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written are essential.
Knowledge of the hospitality business processes and functions is advantageous.
