Charterhouse is working in partnership with a global B2B organisation, who is looking to hire an Event Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all of the logistics across a diverse portfolio of events spanning the MENA region. This crucial role will be based in Dubai and will involve regular travel to parts of the Middle East and Africa.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised events professional with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to take the lead on numerous projects. This role will be heavily geared towards overseeing all of the operations and logistics requirements for a portfolio of events, alongside managing all supplier relationships.
In addition, there will be involvement in the event experience planning, and on the day management, including overall look and feel of the event. Our client requires someone with proven experience in large scale event budget management which includes sourcing and negotiating venue contracts.
This is a fast paced, hands-on role with frequent travel involved and regular working across different time zones. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully managing the operations of large-scale exhibitions and Expos and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and project management skills.
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelors in event management or relevant field with at least 3 years commercial experience in a similar role. A background in event operations, budget management and supplier contract negotiations are highly desirable, alongside excellent relationship building skills and ability to problem solve effectively.
Due to the nature of the role, regular travel is required and as there will be a major focus on events in the Middle East, preference will be given to those who are bilingual in English/Arabic.
