Charterhouse is working with one of our clients within the legal sector who is looking to hire a Finance Assistant to join its DIFC based finance department.
About the role
The main driver within this role is to support the fee earners (team of lawyers), across their billing and work-in-progress to ensure adequate credit control & invoicing processes to allow for collection & cash-flow targets. In conjunction with this, the role will mandate a strong documentation & administration component to support both contractual arrangements, billing rates and statement of accounts. This role shall heavily support revenue control; whereby work-in-progress is monitored and reported to achieve billing cycles and client mandates are managed to ensure accurate & timely accounts receivable targets. The technical aspects of the role will also extend to looking at areas of general ledger management, in conjunction with the accounts payable function, whilst overseeing areas of bank reconciliations and any ad-hoc reporting requirements.
The successful candidate should be a technically proficient candidate who has exposure to the legal industry within a private practice environment. The nature of the role (and industry) shall require a candidate who can present & demonstrate strong commercial gravitas combined with a skill set to manage both internal & external relationships. This Assistant shall act as critical business support function; whereby the financial targets, linked to collection and billings are undertaken in a professional, timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate shall also be expected to demonstrate a track record within the regional markets in a role which required a client liaison aspect with receivable targets.
