Charterhouse is working with a corporate service provider and fund administrator who is seeking an experienced Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) Consultant for their Dubai office.
Our client’s main area of expertise is to provide support to other business in the UAE through advisory support, finance, accounting, & GRC functions. The client has over 80 offices worldwide and they provide support throughout a number of sectors, across a client base, within the financial services sector.
About the role
As the GRC Consultant, you will be required to perform compliance, money laundering reporting, and risk management functions for a number of firms that our clients provide services to. The role shall take responsibility for leading a team of GRC associates, building relationships with all relevant stakeholders and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the GRC department.
Applicants shall possess the ability to encourage participation in GRC client projects, framework development, regulatory updates and quality control projects. The role shall demand an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and concepts that are common in the financial services industry and this will include demonstrating an expertise in UAE Federal Law and dealing with the UAE regulatory standards.
As a part of the GRC team, you will be allocated a number of clients across a number of different financial sectors. You must establish and maintain strong relations with your allocated clients while coordinating with colleagues to enhance your client servicing efforts. You should have previous experience working as part of a GRC team in a corporate service provider.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate will have a minimum of five years of work experience in compliance, money laundering reporting and risk management at senior management level. Holding a Master’s Degree in Law, Financial Management or Business Administration would be highly beneficial, as would fluency in more than one language.
Applicants shall also require excellent interpersonal skills to be able to professionally communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including auditors, regulators and authorities. Additionally, you should be registered with the DFSA & FSRA as the responsible individual for the compliance, MLRO and risk management functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in client facing positions as well as having extremely high levels of technical and industry knowledge.
