Head Chef – Fine Dining

Job description

Charterhouse is working exclusively with an established premium dining restaurant, who is expanding their portfolio with a new location in Dubai. They are looking to hire a Head Chef to oversee this key location, focused on fine dining Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine.

About the role
The Head Chef will be responsible for managing the culinary side and leading a team of 50 in the kitchen. You will ensure the standards are maintained at all times, in terms of presentation, culinary experience, product quality and service level.

You will be responsible for regularly creating specials and evolving the menu to keep it new and exciting to the dedicated repeat diners. This role will also require you to oversee inventory, cost and quality control.

About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should be an experienced Head Chef, with a strong background in Mediterranean or Arabic cuisine. You must be people oriented demonstrating strong leadership skills with excellent time management. The candidate must be able to excel in a fine dining environment, ensuring that the high and crucial standards are met.

Experience in the middle east is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will be the perfect combination of a strong hands-on chef, a true leader and a charismatic professional who is always striving to go above and beyond for the customers culinary experience. Strong leadership and English communication skills are essential for this role to manage a diverse team. The Head Chef will be required to work 6 days per week.
