Charterhouse is working with a quintessentially premium Greek restaurant in Riyadh who are looking to hire a Head Chef of Greek cuisine to lead their culinary team at this iconic foodie destination. This role will initially work with the Consultant Chef to learn the brand and vision for the restaurant before taking control of the kitchen and maintain the standards moving forward.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to oversee the culinary team and kitchen in terms of training, quality control, inventory and ongoing menu development. You will be responsible for implementing the vision of the owner and culinary consultant, making sure to maintain the branding message and vision at all times, with the highest standard of food going out on each and every plate. You will be required to develop this vision further with the development of new dishes within the theme, keeping the menu fresh and evolving.
The successful candidate must specialise in Greek cuisine, having experience in menu development and have managed a kitchen/team either as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef. Preference will be given to candidates with GCC experience, however my client is open to relocating a candidate from outside the GCC. The ideal candidate is a strong character with exceptional Greek cuisine culinary skills, someone to take this venue to the next level consistently.
