Charterhouse is working with a pre-opening refined casual dining restaurant in Qatar who are looking to hire a Head Chef to lead their kitchen team, execute the concept vision and elevate the culinary experience.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to lead the kitchen to achieve the highest culinary standards at all times. You will be constantly and consistently updating the menu to reflect the concept vision. You will oversee the opening of the restaurant and lead in hiring and training the team.
The Head Chef will establish long term relationships with suppliers, whilst continually managing food costs as well as constantly evolving the menu.
The Head chef will drive the culinary vision of the restaurant and ensure consistently quality dishes from the kitchen.
The successful candidate must have experience as a Head Chef or Outlet Chef, managing a team of 15 to 20 in an upscale casual restaurant, a culinary destination with a known presence in the market.
You must be experienced in recipe generation, being able to create new recipes to evolve and compliment the menu and further execute the vision created by the Development Chef. GCC experience is an added advantage though not essential for a strong Head Chef.
Excellent communication skills are required to successfully lead the culinary team.
