Charterhouse is working with one of the market leaders who is looking to hire an IT Project Junior Manager.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to setup and operation of the IT Project Office to assure projects across the department are delivered to time / cost and quality, Ownership of the Project Intake process and governance to control IT “demand management” and ensure all “non-support” work is correctly defined, prioritised, planned and managed within the department, Provision of business analysis and project planning expertise to assist Application Team and Business departments in defining the initial business requirements and project structure to set up projects for success. (Project feasibility (cost/benefit analysis), liaison with Group IT to find Group standard solutions/templates). Set-up and management of IT Planning Round Process for all topics and carry out monthly budget review (risk / opportunity) and cost centre controlling with IT Managers and with Head of IT, Implementation and operational control of IT Project Management standards.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years IT experience, covering both software development and infrastructure / operations, hands on experience in Project Management Office, Business Analysis and Project Management, comfortable with process mapping and control, able to analyse complex data and to present complex topics in a simple way. Strong background in budget and project reporting, control and prioritisation, comfortable with having a gatekeeping role and enforcing governance in a meaningful way, demonstrated success working autonomously within a team environment, strong background in managing outsourced service provision in a customer centric way (not hiding behind service levels!)
