Job description
Charterhouse is recruiting for a leading Qatari owned group, who has an extensive portfolio of retail outlets, brands and consumables and B2C/B2B services, within fundamental sectors such as sports and fitness, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, real estate and technology. Our client is looking to hire an in-house Legal Counsel to work within the Legal Department of the conglomerate.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice on all kinds of Contracts and Agreement and enforce legal due diligence. You will ensure that all negotiations, execution and terminations of any contracts are in compliance with the Company’s business practices, policies and procedures and in compliance with the applicable laws, and liaise with third parties and suppliers in negotiating terms.
Your main priority is to safeguard the interests and best business practices of the company, and provide legal consultation as well as having sound exposure to drafting and reviewing of all kinds of contracts.
About you
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Law Degree from a reputable University and have at least 10 years overall experience, 5 years of which, as a practicing lawyer or in-house counsel. This role requires an individual who is equally able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
Someone with high integrity, self-motivation, confidence and who shows initiative. Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory, and French is advantageous. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, be a good negotiator and have sound PR skills.
