Charterhouse are working with one of our leading financial services client’s whom are in the process of hiring a Manager of Financial Control. About the role
This Financial Control role covers a broad spectrum of responsibility spanning the financial reporting and technical accountancy operations. You will take direct ownership of overseeing, executing and finalizing all financial statements and the required closures on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This is aligned to both a regulatory requirement, under both DFSA and internal group policy, to ensure accurate and timely reporting and controllership across all the regional entities within their EMEA business. In conjunction, this role shall take ownership of all control and governance-related policy; whereby all accounting and reconciliation processes are both streamlined and delivered in accordance with month-end timelines and management committees. Subsequently, this role shall also be geared towards the introduction of strong budget control and planning schemes, with an oversight of cost reporting reviews, through the development of robust financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and management reporting (MIS) capabilities.
The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant, or an MBA profile, with a technical background within financial accounting. You should have up to ten years of experience, within a financial control or reporting based role, coupled with a track record across areas of staff management, succession planning and an ability to project manage change implementation. The nature of the client will require candidates to present an understanding of and exposure to financial services and/or corporate banking. This allows for ease of inception and an appreciation of reporting standards and compliance process within this regulated industry.
