Operations Executive (Oil & LNG Trading)

​Charterhouse is managing a search for a start-up client within the Oil & Gas and Commodities trading sector, who is looking to recruit an Operations Executive to support their Trading Managers with the day-to-day operational support for sea transportation of Crude oil and LNG.

About the role
The Operations Executive will work closely with the sea transportation and freight department to qualify and confirm max cargo quantities, cargo grade and terminal verification to ensure timely delivery of Crude Oil and LNG across international markets.

In conjunction, the executive will liaise closely with suppliers, charterers and terminals, sending shipment orders to monitor the progress of the cargo in transit. Additionally, the role will require the incumbent to ensure administrative records are properly kept regarding load/discharge, vessel reports and port regulation, in order to meet legal and fiscal obligations.

The role will require you to manage PDA and FDA settlements and manage the financial transactions related to the shipping process.

About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within shipping and freight operations within the Crude Oil or LNG sector. As part of a small team the incumbent will be self-motivated and be comfortable working under minimum-supervision.

You will have a relevant University Degree from a recognised institution and possess strong communication (verbal / written) and organisation skills to ensure effective support of day-to-day operations. Candidates residing in Dubai will be considered as a priority for this opportunity.
