Job description

Charterhouse are working with one of our leading client’s within the banking & financial services sector. Our client is looking to hire Regional Manager - Compliance Monitoring to join is already well established and technical proficient team.


About the role

This role shall take ownership of the delivery of the regional (MENA) compliance monitoring plan, combined with the operational management of team, to ensure & assess the adequacy of policies, controls and governance associated with all regional regulatory frameworks. This regional role shall also evaluate, manage and mitigate any risks linked to non-compliance. In conjunction, the role provides a strong business support & advisory mechanism, within the organisation, to ensure every angle of compliance policy are “factored-in” across all business segments within the MENA jurisdictions. You will support the Regional Compliance Head, from both an operational and reporting prospective whilst also overseeing the ongoing process review & implementation of upgrade, ensuring all the banking activities are aligned to regulation change and policy of best practice.


About you

The successful candidate should be a highly technical compliance professional who is able to demonstrate up to 15 years of experience within a regulatory or compliance monitoring based role. This exposure needs to be come from an international (or bulge bracket) banking institution with a focus to either MENA or other developed financial services hubs. The nature of this role, at a Vice President level, will also demand that the candidate is able to train and mentor staff from both a technical and leadership stand-point. The regional nature of the coverage & job mandate, shall require a strong communicator, with a gravitas to execute strong and technically astute decisions allowing for compliant procedure and business continuity. The candidate’s ability to write reports, support top-management and present findings shall also be critical within this search criterion.
