Charterhouse is working with an economic development organisation which has a rare opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join their regional headquarters in Dubai. This role will focus on promoting international trade through the development of strategic B2B marketing campaigns which raise brand awareness and commercial opportunities across the assigned Middle East/Africa markets.

About the role
This role will assume responsibility for building the regional marketing strategy, working closely alongside the global HQ and stakeholders to identify appropriate marketing channels which raise the profile of the organisation, in turn attracting potential investors and strategic partners. A key aspect of this role will be to manage media relations and develop a strong network with key journalists, publications and media outlets to increase positive exposure for the brand and its interests.

In addition, the Marketing and Communications Manager will support the business development team through promotion of industry relevant conferences, workshops and events. Our client is looking to hire an excellent communicator who can naturally build strong business relationships, work independently to deliver on multiple objectives and collaborate effectively with all colleague and external partners. There will be a requirement to write press releases, content for social channels and to develop presentations to deliver to internal and external stakeholders.

About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should have a Bachelors or equivalent Degree focussed in Marketing or PR with a proven track record working as a marketing manager level in a B2B corporate setting. Strong exposure and recent experience in developing and managing media relations is a crucial requirement. In addition, exposure to handling multiple markets across the Middle East is strongly preferrable.

There will be an element of travel required with this role due to the regional scope, therefore candidates must be willing to travel when required by the business. Our client is looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to strategically plan and implement tactics which deliver clear business growth. Fluency in both English and Arabic would be advantageous but not essential.
