Charterhouse is working with an innovative chemicals organisation who is looking to hire a Sales and Logistics Engineer to join their team. As the Sales and Logistics Manager you will report to the Middle East Managing Director.
About the role
As the Sales & Logistics Engineer you will be responsible for sales and logistics activities. You will be responsible for maintaining close commercial relationship with the customer portfolio with a continuous sales activity (frequent visits, and follow-up’s). You will gather the customer’s needs and report them, contributing to the commercial policy and overall business plan. Reporting results on a monthly basis.
You will prepare commercial quotations and product proposals. Assist in developing the company business in the region. Visiting existing and potential customers. Prepare accurate sales forecasts. Follow up on customer’s evaluation of samples.
As the Logistics Engineer you will manage the local warehouse as well as perform administrative and logistics aspects within the warehouse. You will follow up the sales process from the order entry in SAP till delivery of the product. In addition you will develop new schemes of delivery to clients in the area by road and by sea along with coordinating with the factories, warehouse and transport companies on product deliveries. Ensure proper documentation of shipments to customers (invoice, COO, BL, BoE, packing list) while optimizing logistics cost.
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and have a minimum of two years’ experience in sales. You should have exceptional communication skills and fluency in English and Arabic would be advantageous. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. This role will require traveling across the MENA region.
