Charterhouse is working with a well-established group in Qatar who have gained a solid reputation for importing, manufacturing and the delivery high-quality building materials servicing both B2B and B2C markets. Our client is looking to hire a Sales Director.
About the role
The main purpose of this newly created role will be to implement and drive policies and processes, analyse data and transform the way the internal divisions support each-other, further strengthening inter-company supply chain, whilst working together to achieve the goals and objectives of the company. Key responsibilities include reviewing the current business model against current and best practices; design change framework and drive those new plans; sales forecasting; analyse current projects, the product portfolio and sales trends and collect market intelligence. You will also drive sales through winning tenders; develop strategies to increase footfall retail stores; contract negotiations with local and international suppliers; sales-flow design and define accountabilities, and train and mentor the sales team.
This is an exciting and challenging role where you can transform and strengthen the current sales division. The successful candidate should have excellent organisational, negotiation and analytical skills at least 10 years in a senior sales role. You should ideally have experience working with an international organisation and come from the retail industry preferably a mixed construction material business, ceramics would be advantageous.
