Senior Backend Developer (Remote)

​Charterhouse is working with an IT Consultancy, who is looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer Engineer within their international team.

About the role
This role will have the option to work remotely or onsite on one of the company’s global offices. The Senior Backend Developer Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for all inhouse software engineering. This role will be required to provide input at all stages of the Development Lifecycle; Design, coding, testing and production release.

This is an exciting time with multiple new clients being onboarded and various greenfield projects being planned. In this role, you will need to be an innovative thinker who can help the client achieve their goals. Additionally, this role will be tasked with designing and building an effective solution that will assist the company's needs.

About you
To be considered for this role, you will need to have 4+ years’ experience as a software engineer with at least 2 years exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, Python, etc.). The ideal engineer would have previous experience working with databases and an understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc).

My client would like to see someone who has a problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills in English. It would also be a bonus if you have a Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.
