Charterhouse is working with an established iconic venue in Dubai who are looking to hire a Senior Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen and manage the team. This role will have full responsibility for the culinary direction of the venue and work closely with the Group Executive Chef.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to manage the kitchen and full culinary team, you will work to motivate and train your team to constantly grow and excel in their roles. This role requires constant review and refreshing of the menu, you will also be required to design specific menus for special events and activations across an array of themes throughout the year. You will work closely with the events team in relations to outside catering, often for very high volume.
The successful candidate should have experience as a Head Chef or Chef de Cuisine within a high volume location, both stand alone or hotel experience will be considered. You must have proven experience in menu design and recipe generation. Experience within a pub, beer garden, or high volume casual dining is preferred. Due to the scope of the role QSR/fast food experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate is a strong, passionate leader, someone who loves being in the kitchen and motivating a diverse multicultural team in excess of 30. The Senior Chef de Cuisine must be a flexible, hands on, fast moving Chef who thrives in a busy environment. Open to International candidates with the right experience.
