Job description
Charterhouse is working exclusively with a high-end home furnishing retailer and interior design solutions provider. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Interior Designer to join their team based in Dubai and handle various residential, commercial and hospitality projects, overseeing the entire process from conceptual stage to project management and delivery of these projects.
About the role
The Senior Interior Designer will work as a part of design team and will report to a Design Manager. This role will be responsible for engagement with the clients, taking initial briefs and managing their requirements. The selected candidate must be capable of advising clients on the budget and timelines, therefore, a thorough understanding of the market, prices and finishes is essential.
You will develop designs through sketches and concepts, create architectural plans and specifications and create mood-boards for clients. In addition, you will be overseeing all stages of the projects, visiting sites, supervising the teams and making sure the clients’ objectives are achieved.
Our client is looking for a creative, innovative and proactive interior designer with a passion for FF&E, decor and styling and knowledge of design trends within residential and commercial interior sector. The Senior Interior Designer role requires an individual with experience working in fast-paced environment, presenting to clients and meeting deadlines and targets.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture and minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential and commercial interior design sector. The role requires the ability to develop and draw furniture and interior designs and a proficiency using AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and MS Office. Adobe InDesign and Sketch-up are a plus.
To be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic is a plus), strong aesthetic sense and ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at different stages at once.
