Our client, one of the most well-known brands in the Region is looking to hire a new Senior Procurement Manager to join their team in Dubai.
About the role
In this role, you will manage the development and implementation of procurement activities, policies and processes, and convert the business direction into realised procurement strategies and initiatives through liaising and communicating with internal senior management and external stakeholders and senior business professionals in order to support in meeting business needs while providing high-quality items and supplies whilst maintaining cost efficiency, so you will need a strong background in large scale events to be considered for this position. As part of this role you will look after the following business functions; strategy and performance management, day-to-day management, contract management, project delivery and completion, savings and initiatives, vendor management, relationship management, policies and procedures as well as subordinates supervision and EHS (environment, health and safety).
The successful candidate should be Degree educated, ideally with a procurement qualification (MCIPS or equivalent) and have at least 10 years of experience in the procurement industry, 3 years of which in a managerial position. Experience working within tourism, events or a similar field is a distinct advantage. You should also have experience working within the Region with exposure to markets outside of the region. Excellent verbal and written communications are a must as is the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing relationships with various stakeholders.
