Charterhouse is working with an International Oil & Gas, risk-assessment consultancy which specialises in Risk, Safety, Environment and Reliability Studies of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream O&G production.

About the role
Reporting directly to the Principal Engineer, you will be supporting and leading multiple projects across all risk-assessment departments. You will be leading a variety of studies, safe cases and reporting requirements, such as HAZID, HAZOP, bowtie studies, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. 

You will be a natural leader who is eager to develop and nurture the skill-set of their surrounding junior technical colleagues. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hungry, Mid / Senior level Engineer who has a demonstrable track-record and is looking to enter a Management / Senior level position, with an internationally recognised Oil and Gas consultancy.

About you
The successful candidate will be a confident and motivated Safety Technical Engineer / Consultant, with a minimum of 6 years professional experience, within an Oil & Gas risk-assessment / HSE consultancy. 

You will have a bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or science field, with an active membership or Chartered status. You must have lead a small team of engineers (min of 4) through various stages of O&G Risk-Assessment projects, specifically in the HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, Safety Cases, RAM, areas. 

Essentially, you will be fluent in English, both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate a high-level of presentation, analytical and reporting skills.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, confident Technical Safety Engineer who has demonstrable Oil and Gas risk-assessment consultancy experience, who can manage small-mid-sized teams effectively, and comfortably manage face-to-face client interactions.
