Charterhouse is working with a world leader in the production of welding, cutting equipment and consumables. Our client is looking to hire for a supply chain manager to join their team in Dubai.
About the role
Your main responsibilities will be to achieve operational excellence and develop a leading advantage over competitors. You will also oversee the customer support & logistics department (CS&L) in delivering world class service to customers while controlling inventory and operational costs. This role holds a place on the senior management team of the Middle East & Africa. The main focus area for this role will be in planning and procurement, logistics and distribution along with customer service and process development. Within this role you will have 4 direct reports and 16 indirect reports.
The successful candidate should be fluent in English, spoken and written and hold a higher education certificate in management and operations. You should also have experience in developing and managing a team in an operations environment, have a primary background in logistics and supply chain along with being able to assess and implement processes.
