Charterhouse is working with a multinational Supply Chain organisation who is looking to hire a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Dubai.
About the role
Your responsibilities will be to manage a team of 10 or more, set up personal KPI’s/accountabilities for all teams, whilst helping the company achieve operational excellence in all areas of supply chain including customer support, logistics, planning, S&OP and purchasing. Within this role you will manage the order desk team as well as the warehouse & distributions team by controlling/ minimising warehouse & distribution costs, strive & sustain world-class operations with the use of standard work to eliminate inefficiencies, promote a safe work environment, apply LEAN principles and control/ minimise freight / transport costs. In addition, you will also oversee the procurement team, implementing and sustaining standard work in all procurement functions, align sourcing plans to meet sales budget, ensure forecast (S&OP) is provided to suppliers and sustain inventory levels as per budget.
The successful candidate should have experience in developing and managing a team in an operations environment with at least 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain (ideally UAE/JAFZA). You should also have knowledge in LEAN management or SIX SIGMA and be fluent in English with a positive can do attitude.
