About the role
As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying and pursuing viable business opportunities and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector. Your main responsibility will be to expand the client base through strategic partnerships and network-building.
This role requires excellent leadership skills to provide guidance and support to the business development team. This full-time position is located in Dubai, UAE, and requires a willingness to travel throughout the UAE and Gulf countries for client meetings and industry events. The role involves proactively engaging with established networks of governmental and private healthcare systems and strategic partnerships to identify and secure viable business opportunities.
Additionally, the candidate will represent the company at trade association conferences and healthcare events to generate qualified sales leads. Building strong client relationships, presenting business development strategy to executive management and ensuring accurate forecasting and sales lead tracking are also essential responsibilities aligned with the company’s sales cadence and standards.
To be considered for this role, the candidate should be proficient in both English and Arabic with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural team environment. Strong computer skills and technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, salesforce.com or other CRM tools is preferred and sales quotas are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are required, along with superior organizational skills and disciplined sales process execution.
A strong work ethic, positive attitude, executive poise and self-starter mentality are highly valued. A minimum of 10 years of previous business development experience in healthcare is required, including a minimum of 5 years in developing sales strategies and business plans, negotiation of complex sales transactions and financial forecasting. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working in the UAE or other Gulf countries. Healthcare advisory services and technology solutions experience is preferred and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
