Job description
Charterhouse is working with a well-established organisation based in Dubai, who are looking to hire a talented Video Editor to join their creative team. As an integral part of this forward-thinking organisation, the Video Editor will have the opportunity to shape compelling narratives and visually stunning stories that engage audiences and convey the essence of the brand.
About the Role
The Video Editor will be responsible for the end-to-end video editing process, taking raw video footage and transforming it into polished, visually appealing content. This includes enhancing video and audio quality, performing colour correction, sound mixing, and incorporating visual effects when necessary. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure video content aligns seamlessly with brand guidelines.
A key aspect of this role will involve crafting compelling narratives and storylines that captivate viewers and effectively communicate our brand's message. In addition, other duties will include collaborating with scriptwriters, Directors, and content creators to bring creative concepts to life while ensuring that video content remains true to the brand's identity and values.
About You
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing video editing skills and creativity. Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, is a must. A deep understanding of video production techniques, including colour correction, sound design, and visual effects, is expected. In addition, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual and audio aesthetics will set you apart. You should also be comfortable managing multiple video projects concurrently, from initial concept to final delivery, and be prepared to work closely with videographers, animators, and other team members to meet project deadlines. Quality assurance is a fundamental aspect of this role, and you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality, consistency, and accuracy of video content before it is distributed. Staying current with industry trends and advancements in video editing techniques and technology will be essential for this role.
