Our client is looking to hire a Vice President Business Development Professional who will be responsible for attracting clients in Qatar developing a BD pipeline by understanding the market and clients and creating a targeted “go to market’ strategy.
About the role
Reporting to the MD of BD you will be responsible for developing BD strategies and approaches for your “go to market” developing relationships with key decision makers. You will also be responsible in suggesting and implementing processes to improve BD operations and sales strategies, develop and execute client pitches, be involved in negotiations and also attend events to generate sales leads and follow up on established contacts. Operationally you will be responsible for MIS and leads lifecycle reporting, department budgets, and will support the implementation of the organisational strategy and objective across the BD Department.
The successful candidate should be a polished and commercially astute individual who commands presence and credibility. You should be a strategic thinker who has excellent public relation, negotiation and presentation skills. You should have 10 years in a relevant management role in BD/Sales in the same field along with a Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline. Preferably a MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification and additionally, you should be able to demonstrate a steadfast approach with experience providing corporate solutions as well as understanding different corporate structures.
