Charterhouse is working with an EPC in Qatar who is involved in Oil and Gas projects. Our client is looking to hire a Project Manager who will report to the Construction Manager and be responsible for the planning, organisation and control of the project. Duties will include developing the master plan for executing and controlling the project as well as writing project procedures to govern all project activities agreed with the Quality Manual. You will oversee the development of the basic project design criteria and general specifications and establish the quality control procedures. In addition, you will issue the Project Quality Plan (PQP) within the first 30 days of the project, using 'holds' where necessary and using the PQP as the basis for staff orientation sessions. You will regularly monitor the systems to control project costs, schedule and quality to ensure that they are working effectively in meeting project objectives. You will approve all expenditures and commitments for the project within any limits which may be set by the senior management and company policy. The successful candidate should have a relevant engineering Degree and have strong leadership qualities. You should have previous experience of taking a project from cradle to grave. It is essential you have a minimum of 2 years experience of working on projects in Qatar. Due to visa restrictions on the site, there is an age limit of 50. Our client has stated a preference for an Arab national, however other nationalities will be considered with the right experience.

Applications Engineer

Charterhouse is working with a leading supplier of PCP Pumps who is looking to hire an Application Engineer to be based in their Muscat office. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships as well as participating in the client and business development meetings. You will design and install solutions for the PCP system, evaluate the performance of the PCP equipment in operations and provide the client with optimisation recommendations. You will also ensure reactive and efficient corrective maintenance of PCP equipment on-site and implement PMS of equipment. The successful candidate should have proven experience as a mechanical / petroleum engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in artificial lift systems with a preference in PCP. You should also have worked in an applications / field service role previously. Occasionally you will be required to travel across Oman to visit client sites.
