Charterhouse is working with a major Real Estate Developer, a leader in master development. Our client is looking to hire a Hard FM Specialist to look after and advise on major grade A sites. Reporting into the Hard FM Manager, you will be responsible for managing hard FM of multiple assets across the business portfolio including prestigious residential, commercial and retail developments across Qatar. You will be responsible for resolving technical hard FM tenant complaints in a timely fashion, working alongside property management and to resolve reoccurring issues. The successful candidate should possess an engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years experience within technical and hard FM (Soft FM will not be considered). You should also have experience working on major mixed-use facilities within a Real Estate organisation along with excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. The successful candidate should have previously worked in either the Americas, Europe, The Far East or Australia.

Charterhouse is working with a world renowned financial services company looking to urgently hire a mechanical biased engineer / project manager to join their team headquarter based team in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to Facilities Management Lead, you will be responsible for the oversight of the companies mechanical systems and projects, in support of the Programme Manager, including the identification, development and scope preparation, procurement and delivery of multiple works projects through the current service provider or third party contract who is based on site. This will involve the day-to-day management of mechanical, HVAC and building services projects with direct responsibility for contract delivery planning, programming of works, carrying out site meetings, and project handover. The successful candidate should be fluent in English (first language) and be Degree educated in either mechanical or electrical, but this is a mechanical focussed role. You should have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience within a project managers role and a scope/specification development role of a medium-to-large scale facility. You should have experience in managing multiple projects, regional experience in the Middle East is preferred. You should have excellent working knowledge of mechanical and building services systems, energy and environment systems, etc., good knowledge of risk management and business continuity planning, knowledge of local and international standards and knowledge of maintenance methods and technologies. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex systems to non-technical audiences. You should also have excellent time management and be capable of working to challenging timeframes along with good problem solving abilities with a clear understanding of mechanical system objectives. As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of hard and soft facility management operations on site, ensuring to manage and maintain high standards as per company procedures and protocol. Reporting to the Director of Operations, your principal accountabilities will be to ensure cost effective facilities management, inspect the premises on a daily basis, follow up complaints and suggestions as well as implement health and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for site insurance and coordination with fit out contractors and will develop and manage the departments budget. In addition, you will be required to work closely internally with various departments as well as externally with different service providers. The successful candidate should have 10 to 15 years experience in facility management operations.
