Salary Guide 2022

Salary Guide: UAE in 2022

Foreword

Moving in to 2022 is an exciting time within the UAE market and recruitment will be no exception. The UAE has fared better than most, throughout the COVID-pandemic, and in many ways has allowed its competitive advantage to become even stronger and prevalent. Through strong government, vaccination compliance and a willingness to evolve and emerge, the UAE continues to attract business and company opportunity across the board. In turn, this up-swing demand for talent pools and the need to attract & retain will be a significant challenge in 2022.

The UAE has delivered an excellent EXPO 2020 Dubai (a Charterhouse RPO since 2017) and in many ways it mirrors how importantly the country is positioned not just regionally but globally. The return of business and tourist numbers proves also the desirability of the UAE as a destination and hub. These fundamentals are also being supported by the ever-changing landscape of the UAE’s business and residential environment. The recent weekend changes, are further evidence, that the country is ready to support working flexibility whilst also allowing for international alignment and further engagement.

Whilst the pandemic is far from over, the UAE will certainly continue to develop policies, protocol and technologies to ensure that Covid is not a catalyst to slow or “lockdown” the economy or society in general. These overriding factors will certainly ensure that business and recruitment opportunity will continue to open up, throughout the year ahead, within a whole host of industries and sectors.

Where Charterhouse Sits

This will be our 18th year in the UAE market and testament to the theory that “we’ve seen it all”. Of course our expertise helps but the pandemic has taught us a lot too. At Charterhouse we move in to 2022; with a view of pragmatism, flexibility and certain realignments to ensure that our service and brand continues to deliver. During these times, market trends and client criterion are ever-changing and sometimes fluid, the ability to tailor our business intelligence is a critical component in achieving the required goal.

In a climate of new, virtual and technology-led industries, there is no doubt that these growth sectors present challenges within the process of recruitment through knowledge-base and talent acquisition. Charterhouse are committed to ensuring that our coverage can complement these trends whilst ensuring that any “personal touch” isn’t lost within the world of remote access and working-from-home.

The core of recruitment will always be relationship based and at Charterhouse the continuation and development of such aspects are constantly reviewed for maximum impact across our client and candidate network.

Salary Guide Notes

Our survey collates figures across a range of sources and brings together salary information from our candidate database, client input on budgets and grading systems and our market intelligence via research, benchmarking and information gathering. The survey, in turn, reports figures (Low & High) which is an accurate and impartial reflection of the market ranges within job offers.

The figure ranges cited include our categorisation of gross monthly fixed compensation and would exclude any monetary benefit or allowance linking to education, leave travel, insurances and any other perks (financial or non-financial). This standardisation is there to allow for any anomalies whilst also accommodating for the varied nature of package structures across the client/company base within the UAE market.
