Our client, is forward-thinking regulatory authority based in Dubai, is seeking a Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead enterprise-wide AI strategy and innovation.

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to spearhead AI transformation within a high-impact regulatory environment. The Head of AI will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI systems that enhance supervisory capabilities, risk detection, and operational efficiency. Being the Head of AI, this role demands a blend of strategic foresight, technical depth, and ethical leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with regulatory priorities and ethical standards. This role will be looked upon to lead cross-functional AI initiatives across supervisory, enforcement, and operational domains, architect scalable and explainable AI/ML models tailored to regulatory use cases, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including fintechs, academia, and global regulators. The role will also establish robust AI governance frameworks and model risk management practices.

About you
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate for this Head of Artificial Intelligence position will have over 12+ years of experience in technology, with at least 5 years leading AI initiatives at scale, ideally within financial services. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments, a strong grasp of machine learning, natural language processing, and intelligent automation, and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage executive stakeholders. A deep understanding of responsible AI deployment in regulated environments is essential.
