Senior Associate, Financial Accounting (UAE National)

Charterhouse are currently managing a search on an exclusive basis, for an Abu Dhabi Private Equity Operator, whom are in the process of looking to recruit two Emirati Financial Accountants at a Senior Associate level.

About the role
These Accountants will join a financial and fund operations team taking on ownership of both statutory accounting duties (linked to IFRS and/or US GAAP) along with oversight of reporting controls across the entity (and product lines) in support of the month-end and quarter-end close for consolidation purposes.

The Financial Accountants will also be responsible for the managing the payment cycles along with the completion of bank reconciliations, journal entries and any management reports. In conjunction, these roles will also be required to support treasury operations, linking to cash flow management and any liquidity forecasting across the organisation, along with ensure adherence to the financial policy and any compliance across the various jurisdictions.

About you
The client will look to identify a professionally qualified (and ideally Chartered) Accountant, who is able to demonstrate a minimum experience of five years, within a corporate-based accounting and reporting function. The successful candidates shall be required to display a solid understanding of financial accounting principles along with an ability to deliver across areas of accounting standards aligning to an audit-based background. Exposure to Big Four and blue-chip organisation, for the purpose of best practice, along with an international exposure will be additional key criterion within this search.

Applicants shall be familiar with Excel tools and ERP reporting platforms, to ensure the ability to work across complex accounting transactions whilst also being able to undertake areas of analysis-based reporting. The nature of this organisation and their coverage means that candidates are expected to deliver within areas of technical proficiency, reporting capabilities and communication form.
