Job description
Charterhouse is currently working with an innovative organization in the cryptocurrency mining sector to appoint an experienced Head of Infrastructure (Mining & Maintenance). This senior leadership role is critical for ensuring operational excellence across large-scale mining facilities. A position based in the UAE, but will be overseeing sites and setups globally.
About the Role
The Head of Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at advanced mining sites, ensuring maximum uptime, optimal hash rate performance, and efficient maintenance processes. This position requires a strategic leader who combines technical expertise with strong organizational and contractor management skills.
The Head of Infrastructure will manage site operations to maintain smooth and efficient facility performance, monitoring uptime and operational metrics while implementing strategies to boost efficiency and profitability. The role involves developing and executing maintenance plans for mining hardware and infrastructure, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and upgrades. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, including improvements in power usage and cooling systems, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Regular reporting and analysis of performance data will be essential to drive continuous improvement and inform senior stakeholders.
About You
Our client is looking for a Head of Infrastructure with strong technical knowledge of cryptocurrency mining hardware such as ASICs and GPUs, and experience managing infrastructure or maintenance operations in mining, data centers, or similar environments. The ideal candidate will have proven project management skills, the ability to coordinate contractors effectively, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. Familiarity with power and cooling systems is essential, and knowledge of blockchain technology is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Strong communication in English is essential. Arabic and French would be a bonus.
