Job description
Charterhouse is working with a leading group which offers strategic operations and logistics support to clients within the public sector. Our client is expanding their global headcount due to significant growth and is looking to hire an Operational Readiness Specialist to join the regional HQ in Dubai.
About the role
This role will be critical to ensuring that large-scale, high-stakes projects are fully prepared, resources are deployed and services carried out as per the clients’ requirements. The Operational Readiness Specialist will liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to understand the full project scope to develop and implement necessary processes and protocols to ensure operations are delivered within the commercial agreement and adhere to local regulations. A key focus will be project management of service contracts, with the ability to coordinate crisis management activities in a time critical environment, therefore our client would give preference to PMP certified candidates with hands on experience working in a similar role. There will be a travel requirement to key markets within the GCC and often for extended periods, therefore flexibility is essential with a willingness to spend a lot of time in the field overseeing projects and key supplier relationships.
About you
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must hold a bachelors in a relevant field and preferably a PMP, with at least 3 years’ commercial experience. Our client is looking to hire an individual who has proven track record of coordinating and overseeing operations or logistics for complex projects ideally with government/public sector clients. An ability to remain calm in stressful situations and apply critical thinking skills to solve unexpected challenges will be key to this role.
