Charterhouse is working with a multinational manufacturer of specialty chemicals. Our client is looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager to join their team in Dubai. This role will promote and develop sales strategies across the Middle East market with a specific focus on developing business within the Oil and Gas sector.
About the role
As Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the annual sales target across the assigned markets through proactively developing strategies which deliver increased market share and confirmed new business. The role will provide commercial support in response to RFPs, project proposal development and handling of technical queries. A strong technical knowledge and understanding of adsorbent materials is required with the ability to contribute towards engineering work such as adsorbent unit designs and providing operational oversight. As this role will mainly target clients and distributors in the field of petrochemicals, industrial gas and natural gas, our client is looking for someone with a network of relevant contacts in this industry.
There will be regular travel involved across the region to visit new and existing clients/suppliers in order to build and maintain strong business relationships to deliver on company objectives.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate will have a strong technical background and Bachelors/MS in Chemical Engineering or similar with at least 4 years’ experience in a sales or technical support role providing services to the Oil and Gas sector. A background in handling similar products with a regional coverage is highly preferred and candidates must be willing to travel as required by the business, potentially up to 40% of the time during peak periods.
Due to the market coverage, our client has a strong preference for a fully bilingual English/Arabic speaker, however this is not a mandatory requirement and can be overlooked subject to having strong industry relevant experience.
